Crispin Moger is the award-winning Managing Director of Marmalade, a company dedicated to championing young drivers through learner and young driver insurance. Making driving accessible, affordable and fun while still being responsible and safe underpins the Marmalade ethos and is reflected in the company’s bespoke telematics and car purchase schemes. After graduating from university and working in a variety of roles within the motor industry, Crispin started to question the traditional thinking behind young driver insurance. In 2006 he established the Marmalade brand with three separate strands for provisional drivers, new drivers and young drivers wanting a car purchase. Marmalade has doubled the size of its business while simultaneously bringing down claim rates. A member of the Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety (PACTS) Marmalade has received numerous awards for its work in improving young driver safety, including an International Road Safety Award from HRH Prince Michael of Kent. Crispin is a past winner of the BT Business Essence of the Entrepreneur for Innovation award and Growing Business Magazine’s Young Gun title. The company has also featured in ‘Start Up Magazine’s’ Top 100 Start Ups for its provisional product and won the Best Personal Lines Initiative at the British Insurance Awards and the coveted ‘innovation’ title at the UK Brokers Award.
