Kirsten Bay, CEO and Co-Founder, created Cysurance withthe concept to change how small businesses think about and mitigate againstcyber threats. Kirsten brings more than 25 years of experience in riskintelligence, information management, and policy expertise across a variety ofsectors, and leveraged her experience in financial services and cyber securityto negotiate a best-in-class policy in partnership with Chubb – one of theleading insurance carriers in the world – to create a volume driven risk modelthat is completely new to the market and reduces the cost of insurance whileproviding a redesigned network monitoring technology that can support deploymentsfor an office of 1 to several thousand employees.
Since its inception, Kirsten and her team tookthe Cysurance concept from pitch deck to launch in 7 months, and signeddistribution partners who will begin co-marketing to over 200k customers.
In her career,Kirsten has been appointed to congressional committees developing cyberpolicies, initiatives and recommendations for the intelligence community. Shehas developed recommendations in partnership with the Center for North AmericanStudies (CNAS) and Center for Strategic and International Studies(CSIS) for The White House energy policy, and collaborated on informationstudies for MIT-Harvard and several federal agencies. She has gone before aparliamentary subcommittee on recreating trust in the global economy, presentednational security and critical infrastructure concepts at conferences such asBlack Hat, Secured Americas, Enterprise Architecture Institute, SC WorldCongress, and the Eurim Information Management Committee. She has also spoken onapplied economics and its relationship to both cyber and national securityaround the world.
